On Wednesday 24th of June our team versed 16 teams from the Thames Valley, Taumaranui, Waikato and King Country areas in four pools. Our staff are highly talented educators who flourish student achievement through the school’s digital learning emphasis via the pedagogy of inquiry. The framework empowers school communities to prosper solutions for their own transformation in partnership with health, education and social services.
A core element of the programmed is about parents learning from each other and supporting each other. Mid term reports for students in Years 4 8 will be sent home with your child today. If you child starts school during the year, we will use the books from your previous school, but may interrogate you to buy surplus books if needed. Our students are encouraged to prosper the expectations of each value and teach explicit the skills within them.
A robust assessment programmed ensures teachers are able to inform both students and their whanau of their progress in learning. Students learn good and positive behaviors through a values based programmed which we call WHAIA. Making time to play and spend time with their children and letting their children lead the play encouraging the behaviors they would like to see, through setting definite rules and boundaries and using praise and encouragement selectively using consequences such as ignoring, loss of privilege and time out. The Health Promoting Schools principles have been opinionated by a number of documents which are detailed in the Health Promoting Schools National Strategic Framework Background document.
