What you should know about YogA Tree Taupo
Five years ago we decided it was time to look for a dedicated space in the Taupo town centre for people of all ages and abilities to come together and practice Yoga and attend Workshops to enhance their health and well being. We found our new space in late February 2010 and opened Yoga Tree Taupo on March 9th 2011. We aim to fit the yoga to you and always have alternative things that you can do so that whatever age or fitness level that you are you will be able to practice and give things a go. Our teachers are fully trained and continue with ongoing teacher training several times each year. We recommend that if it is your first class, that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time the studio opens 20 minutes before classes start so that you can introduce yourself to the teacher.
We ask that for all classes you arrive at least ten minutes before class starts as we like begin on time. Please wear tighter fitting clothing, leggings or shorts that we can see the shape of your body rather than baggy or flared pants and tops, this way we will be able to help you further with your alignment and joint health
I moved to taupe nearly 4 years ago from Christchurch and I love it here in my new home. The session could be to assist you start your yoga journey or could focus on something that you would like to know more about. If you have never done Yoga before, we advocate that you start with our beginners classes.
taupe Yoga is a way of life, I feel very proud to be a segment of our taupe Yoga community. I completed a 3 year scrutinize and Teacher Training with Senior Iyengar teacher Maggie Hughes. It is a privilege to share the benefits and gifts from this life big-hearted practice with others. Now as I study, train and teach, I become more and more passionate about sharing the practice of yoga.
Time is spent in the poses Asanas discovering the right alignment and energy flow of the body in the pose. We don't accept Beginners in the General classes so that we get the chance to move deeper. Beginners Ropes yoga is a great class to bring increased body awareness to your yoga if you are fair starting out or if you are already a practitioner. They say that when you are ready, your teacher finds you and that is what happened when I came to the taupe yoga scene ten years ago and started coming weekly to Anandi’s one hour hath Yoga class.
Hi I'm Anandi, I began practicing Yoga in India in 1993 and have been sharing and teaching since 1995. A deposit of light and space where we can help people move with ease and find a trivial quietness and strength in their busy lives. Asanas aid to strengthen the physical body keeping us strong, flexible, balanced and healthy. You will learn this accepting and alignment for the general classes in the beginner classes.
